Ever feel like you’re stuck in a bit of a rut in life; that you feel like every step you take is sideways? This section is all about inspiration – to get you through those times when life is so clogged up with the norm that you forget how amazing it can really be.

Quote of the day: “You do not have a soul. You are a soul. You have a body” – CS Lewis

This song is one of my favourite songs at the moment. It’s so simple but so powerful. Our God is greater!

  1. This was my little inspiration for today..

During my quiet times with God normally I’ll flip straight into new testament but today I went to the old testament, to this specific page and not any of the other 1630 pages in this particular Bible .

I was struggling a bit with the whole youth group thing and how sometimes teenagers can be a lil slack (no suprise there) but my teen study Bible had this little section written about 1 Chronicles 12:22:

“If you have been a leader in your youth group, you’ve probably found out how frustrating leadership can be. You’ve pushed, prodded and poked, and you’ve probably found out that it just doesn’t work. David’s way of leading is better. David set out to accomplish a task. When others saw what he was doing, they joined him. His volunteer team grew until he had a great army. That’s how spiritual leadership works. Set out to accomplish something important, and rely on those who are willing to volunteer. Leading by example is always more effective than getting behind others and trying to push.”

I love my team and the awesome possibilities ahead, just wanna cheers God, your way of getting the right advice to us at the right time is just epic!

  2. Here’s a nice little anecdote. Think about it.

The child whispered, “God, speak to me” And a meadow lark sang. The child did not hear.

So the child yelled, “God, speak to me!” And the thunder rolled across the sky But the child did not listen.

The child looked around and said, “God let me see you” and a star shone brightly but the child did not notice.

And the child shouted, “God show me a miracle!” And a life was born but the child did not know.

So the child cried out in despair, “Touch me God, and let me know you are here!” Whereupon God reached down and touched the child.

But the child brushed the butterfly away and walked away unknowingly.

  3. “Gardening God’s Way”

Plant three rows of peas :
    Peace of mind
    Peace of heart
    Peace of soul

Plant four rows of squash :
    Squash gossip
    Squash indifference
    Squash grumbling
    Squash selfishness

Plant four rows of lettuce :
    Lettuce be faithful
    Lettuce be kind
    Lettuce be obedient
    Lettuce really love one another

    No garden without turnips :
    Turnip for meetings
    Turnip for service
    Turnip to help one another

    Water freely with patience and
    Cultivate with love.
There is much fruit in your garden
Because you reap what you sow.

    To conclude our garden

    We must have thyme :
    Thyme for God
    Thyme for study
    Thyme for prayer
